The Horse industry today is as active and alive as it's ever been. Styles cycle in and out, and lately, Ive focused on building pieces that speak to where things are right now. The shanks on this bit draw from a well-known design by my friend Jim Edwards, and the mouthpiece is a variation on one of my mentor, Greg Darnall, has made for years-trusted and widely used. That's where I start to twist things a little harder and bring my own story into it. Ive always been drawn to relief-engraved scrolls and the way 24k gold inlays can carry a pattern. This bit also features fine silver and 24K gold pinstriped that frame the work and give it balance. It's all part of turning a solid, proven bit into something that stands apart-not just in how it looks, but in how it rides.
